An elegant demonstration apartment in Lahekalda – a dream come true
A home in the heart of the city that’s also in the lap of nature, with the forest, sea and city life all within reach. Sounds like a beautiful dream? It is about to become a reality as you step inside our newly furbished demonstration apartment at 23 Paekalda, with sea views stretching to the horizon, nature right outside your doorstep and the towered skyline of the city centre.
Our newest demonstration apartment in the Lahekalda neighbourhood, located on the penultimate floor of the eight-storey residential building, harmonises with the rhythms of nature, while offering some surprising notes. The elegant and attractive interior design was born in cooperation with a team of interior designers and custom furniture designers at OCCO.
The apartment uses the Mirage interior design package. As the name suggests, the design plays with various natural tones while also offering some surprises. The light-coloured walls, greyish undertone of the parquet flooring and grey interior doors form an enjoyable combination.
The starting point for the interior design was the colour of the wood flooring with its grey notes; the palette for the rest of the apartment was chosen as a complement. The design choices were made with our client profile in mind – people who value a natural and private setting while enjoying the proximity of city life, a variety of leisure opportunities and high-quality amenities. To match the unique living environment in Lahekalda, we put special care into designing charming homes here.
The demo apartment wraps you in luxurious warm beige and brown tones, spiced up using bluish green accents with dazzling gold-finish lighting fixtures. The centrepiece in the living room is a blue-green velvet sofa from the Estonian manufacturer Bellus, complemented by a Bloomingville armchair and dining chairs upholstered with bouclé fabric in natural shades. The colour scheme in the living room is brought together by a painting from the Leekpea Collection displayed above the sofa.
The kitchen furniture comes from the quality German brand Bauformat. The colour scheme is dominated by a light-dark contrast in natural tones, with an elegant accent from black appliances and plinths.
The kitchen cabinet doors are finished with high-quality melamine, a practical choice ensuring a scratch-resistant and durable surface. The focal point is the highly valued Silestone light marble-patterned quartz worktop and backsplash, a choice that is both practical and trendy. Using engineered stone made it possible to sink the hob into the work surface and opt for an undermount sink.
The bright and light-filled bedroom with a French balcony can be transformed into a cosy and dreamy atmosphere in an instant, thanks to the blackout curtains. The bedroom features a bed from the Italian manufacturer Calligaris with vivid green velvet fabric. The bedside tables are from Bloomingville, with mood lights by Cozy Living and Nova Luce. The neutral-coloured carpet comes from the French brand Edito.
The main bedroom connects with a spacious walk-in closet with custom-made furniture finished in wood-grain melamine, making it a practical and luxurious extension to the space.
Like the rest of the apartment, the harmony of warm and elegant tones continues in the room furnished for a youngster, where nature-inspired wallpaper is added for character. The dark green wall shelf emphasises a contemporary accent, and the gold details bring a bit of sparkle to the room in any weather.
The heart of the Mirage design is the bathroom. The space is finished in creamy beige tones with an accent wall with a yellow glow to create a mirage-like play of light at any time of day.
