A home in the heart of the city that’s simultaneously in the lap of nature and also right by the water. The sea, the forest and the hustle and bustle of the city – all at your doorstep. Just imagine sitting on your terrace or perching at your window and enjoying views that stretch out over the bay to the horizon, or that take in the surrounding greenery, or showcase the silhouette of the city centre.
Lahekalda is a safe and compact but entirely contemporary world all of its own in the middle of the big city. Its neighbour on one side is the historical, cultural and culinary mecca that is the Kadriorg district, while on its other side is the recreational hub of Pirita with its beach, seafront promenade and yacht club, as well as restaurants and ancient ruins.
Lahekalda is more than just another residential quarter: it’s a community, and a safe and easy place to live.
THE LEADING FIGURES IN THEIR FIELDS WERE DRAFTED IN TO DESIGN THE LAHEKALDA RESIDENTIAL QUARTER. WORKING WITH ARCHITECTS, ENGINEERS, LANDSCAPE GARDENERS AND OTHER SPECIALISTS WHO LOVE THE WORK THEY DO, EVERY SINGLE DETAIL, NO MATTER HOW SMALL, WAS DEBATED AND PERFECTED TO GUARANTEE THE BEST POSSIBLE LIVING ENVIRONMENT.
In designing these buildings we aimed to show respect for the physical environment of the limestone quarry that once operated here and to create a safe, fully integrated and people-friendly living environment. As soon as you step outside your door, the walking and bike path will entice you to get a bit fresh air, and both the beachfront promenade and your nearest store will be just a short walk away. Kids will be able to play in the building’s courtyards without crossing any roads as well, ensuring their safety. At the same time, parking will be provided close to the buildings’ entrances, and mostly under cover. Approaching the area from the plateau side, the entry levels to the buildings will be hidden behind the slope of the old quarry, making the buildings look as if they’re taking a walk in nature. From their vantage point, the apartments will enjoy stunning views out to sea and over the city.

Lahekalda’s naturally beautiful setting had a major influence on the interior finishing packages we devised. Thanks to its unique location, its homes will enjoy views of lush greenery, the waters of Tallinn Bay and the silhouette of the city centre, which provide a very effective contrast to the light, natural, quintessentially Nordic tones used in the apartments. The interior finishing packages are like a canvas on which to paint just the kind of home you want. The wide choice of tones and materials inspired by the surrounding environment means that every new homeowner will find the perfect starting point.
