Cornerstone laid for Part Spa Hotel in Pärnu

Yesterday, on 11 June a cornerstone was laid for the newest spa hotel and event venue in Estonia’s unofficial summer capital. The seaside Part spa and hotel complex, being developed by Brackmann Arendus and built by Merko, is set to be completed next year.

The complex in the first row of Pärnu’s beachfront will have two buildings and a beach club area and will bring a new level of leisure and event planning potential to Pärnu.

At the ceremony, Pärnu Mayor Kristel Voltenberg expressed her pleasure over the consistent development of Pärnu’s beachfront area: “Establishing the new hotel and conference centre is an important step that supports Pärnu’s desire to become not just Estonia’s summer mecca but a world-class conference, culture and sports city. The growth in the number of hotel rooms lays strong groundwork for that to happen and will help realize the big future ideas. Many thanks to the developers and owners who work to carry out this vision and for believing in Pärnu’s development. The city looks forward to the hotel opening and all the wonderful visitors for whom it’s being built.”

Construction on the new hotel and conference centre began in summer 2025. The spa hotel on the Ranna pst 9 plot will have a footprint of 23,000 square metres and 210 rooms. The adjoining Ranna pst 7 property will have a conference centre with a 7000-square-metre footprint, with 16 guest apartments in addition to the event venue.

Member of the management board of Brackmann Arendus Sari Sopanen said that Part Spaa Hotell will focus on original content creation. “We have a serious number of square metres and very stylish interior architecture where our energy isn’t going just into the forms. What we will focus on is the appealing content – entertaining and edifying, passive and interactive. The analog world is mingling with the digital in a fascinating way and new hybrid entertainment forms will ensure that Pärnu is not just attractive during the brief summer period. The sun shines here year-round.”

The architecture of the buildings was designed by two practices, Skad Arhitektid and Arhitektibüroo Emil Urbel. Merko Ehitus Eesti is in charge of the construction.

Chairman of the Merko Ehitus Eesti management board Jaan Mäe emphasized that this is a noteworthy and large-scale complex. “Erecting a multipurpose building means an exceptionally complicated process, pinpoint precision planning of utility systems and efficient organization of construction work. The construction works are making solid progress through the combined efforts of many contractors and partners and building all this in full sight of holiday-makers reminds us of who the new complex is for.”

Designed to meet the requirements of LEED Platinum certification, Part Spa Hotel (partspahotel.com) will have four above-ground floors. The buildings are connected by both a skywalk and an underground parking level. There will be more than 160 parking spaces in the underground parking level and along the streets in the beach zone combined.
