We launched the second stage of the Lahekalda Development Area
The first apartment buildings in the Lahekalda Residential Block have been completed and residents are already moving in. During the second phase of the development area’s construction, two buildings with a total of 96 apartments will be completed at the end of 2021.
The Lahekalda Residential Block is located on Maarjamäe Ridge, at the border of Tallinn’s City Centre, Pirita and Lasnamäe. Nearly 25 new residential buildings with more than a thousand apartments will be built in stages over the next decade on a development area covering nearly 17 hectares and located at a height of more than 40 metres above sea level.
In the second stage of the Lahekalda Development Area, five-storey apartment buildings will be completed on the Paekalda 12 and Paekalda 16 properties. The buildings have apartments with one- to four-rooms and range in size from 30 to 93 m2. Apartments in the Class B Energy Efficiency buildings are located on the 1st through 4th floors, with storage rooms and covered parking spaces located on the ground floor. The buildings have a lift, and nearly all apartments have balconies or loggias.
Roads and streets with additional parking spaces will be built in the new residential block. The courtyards to be built between the apartment buildings at Lahekalda will be illuminated and landscaped, designed to accommodate recreational areas and children’s playgrounds.
The close proximity of Pirita’s Health Track and Promenade adds value to the developing region. In the later stages of the development project, a store with small shops and service areas, and a nursery school, will be built in the residential block. The City of Tallinn is planning on building a health centre and a new hospital for Tallinn in the vicinity of Lahekalda.
