Merko began the construction of new apartment buildings in Pikaliiva residential district
Today, the sale of apartments in the Kaaruti 5 and Kaaruti 6 residential houses commences in the Pikaliiva residential quarter. The four-story buildings to be completed in one year will contain 66 one- to three-bedroom apartments.
The Pikaliiva apartment buildings (merko.ee/pikaliiva) are located in Haabersti city district, Tallinn, near Lake Harku, in the midst of greenery and away from traffic noise. Altogether 10 four-story residential buildings will be built in the area that has great development potential. The first two buildings of the residential quarter are complete; the third and fourth will be completed in spring 2020 and the construction of the fifth and sixth buildings, launched today, will end in autumn 2020.
“Pikaliiva as a residential environment has attracted high interest. Out of the 116 apartments of the first four residential buildings, only five are still vacant,” said Tiit Kuusik, the director of the Estonian property development division at Merko Eesti. “The well-considered design and interior decoration solutions, offering lots of possibilities, as well as the convenient location of the area are the main reasons why Pikaliiva is preferred among clients,” Kuusik listed the main sales success factors of the project.
There will be a courtyard and children’s playgrounds with varied greenery and lighting in between the apartment buildings. Most of the apartments have a balcony and ground floor apartments feature a spacious terrace. Every building is equipped with an elevator, a public space for bicycles and baby carriages and personal storage spaces. Also parking spaces will be established around the building.
The energy class of Pikaliiva apartment buildings is B. The buildings have sustainable water underfloor heating; emphasis has been put on soundproof walls between the apartments and increased heat insulation of external walls. The south-facing windows of the apartment buildings will be installed glasses with higher sun protection factor, which offer protection against extensive heat in the summer.
The home buyer can choose from six interior decoration packages. The size of apartments ranges from 34 to 84 square meters and the square meter prices are between 2,006 and 2,460 euros.
Over nearly 30 years, Merko has built and sold more than 4,500 homes in the Baltics and established a complete and well-thought-out living environment for thousands of people.
