Homes for families of all sizes
All Pikaliiva apartment buildings have four storeys. Pikaliiva 18, 20 and Kaaruti 8 buildings have 33 apartments each, Pikaliiva 22 building is smaller with only 17 apartments. Carefully considered planning and affordable prices make the apartments – which range in size from one to four rooms – perfectly suited to young families and anyone looking for their first home or wanting to move into a brand new, well-constructed building.
Everything you need for a comfortable life
Every apartment comes with a balcony, while those on the 1st floor enjoy a spacious terrace. Each building has a lift, and there is a room for the use of all residents on the 1st floor for the storage of bicycles and baby carriages. A car park is to be built around the apartment buildings, and personal storage spaces will be available for all residents.
Quality you can be sure of
Merko’s Pikaliiva apartments are well sound-proofed against noise from both inside and outside the building. The walls between the apartments are being constructed to keep out as much noise as they can, also the walls outside of the apartement will be as warm as possible during the cold winter months. Meanwhile, glass with a higher sun protection factor is being installed in the southern-facing windows of the apartment buildings to help against the summer heat at the opposite end of the year. Convenient and energy-saving water-based underfloor heating and heat-retaining windows guarantee the buildings an energy rating of B.
The ideal living environment for active recreation
You’ll always feel great in your Pikaliiva home and in the area between the apartment buildings, where we are constructing courtyards with a variety of landscaping and lighting and a safe playground for the littlest members of the family to enjoy. But if the playground isn’t enough, there’s plenty to discover in the surrounding area: the neighbourhood gets very little traffic and is home to a number of exciting tracks and stretches of forest.
Aesthetically pleasing inside and out
These modern new apartment buildings fit in well with the existing architecture in the area – the low-rise, rendered blocks are given a touch of character with the use of imitation brick on the end walls. Helping to make the homes cosy are interior designers Merlin Tiivel and Gertu Alas, who have worked with Merko to develop nine interior finish packages suited to those with Northern European tastes.
