We don’t aim for everything. Our support activities focus on five key areas.
Merko has placed more than 20 sculptures across Tallinn’s public urban space. Works by Estonian artists are waiting for city residents and our guests in streets, parks and residential neighbourhoods.
You can make art stops in the Old Town, the city centre, Uus-Veerenni and Noblessner, or take a drive further out to experience the diversity of art across the city. We have brought the works together into five curated routes that you can explore at your own pace.
Merko’s largest long-term support project is Estonian Health Trails, launched in 2005 together with Swedbank and Enefit. Across Estonia, there are 130 well-maintained trails that offer people the chance to take care of their health year-round, free of charge, while enjoying the outdoors. By promoting an active lifestyle, we help increase the number of healthy years lived by the people of Estonia.
In 2019, Tallinn’s medieval Old Town walls and towers received a modern lighting solution that brings them to life after dark. The lighting system was designed and built by Merko, with funding provided by Kapitel. As you stroll through the Old Town, you can discover newly illuminated walking paths, listen to fascinating and mystical stories about the city’s history through the audio guide, and admire the craftsmanship of builders from centuries past.
When we have experience and knowledge that could benefit others, we lend a helping hand wherever possible.
We collaborate with strong partners who either need our professional expertise or have a clear vision of where charitable support is needed.
What matters to us is ensuring that our contribution has a real impact. By sharing our construction-related knowledge, we help shape future decisions, and when we provide assistance, we make sure it reaches those who need it the most.

We contributed as a content partner and supporter to the development of the Green Tiger Construction Roadmap – a realistic plan aimed at reducing CO₂ emissions in the construction sector.
We have supported Ukraine and Ukrainians in Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania through various projects and cooperation partners.
In 2023, we helped the Carolin Illenzeer Foundation raise funds to support the children of Estonian Defence Forces members who have been killed or severely injured in service.
In 2021, we supported the activities of the NGO Do Good, which used our donation to provide essential household appliances to nearly 50 families in need.
