We are building public water supply and sewerage systems in Saku and Jõelähtme rural municipalities
On 12 October, we signed an agreement for the renewal of public water supply and sewerage facilities in Saku rural municipality, and on 30 September, we signed an agreement for the creation of better conditions for public water supply and sewerage in Jõelähtme rural municipality.
By July of next year, we will have partially expanded and reconstructed the Männiku waste water pumping station in Saku rural municipality, reconstructed a part of the waste water collector between Männiku and Tallinn, and demolished the Kurtna waste water treatment plant. The work is being performed on behalf of AS Saku Maja.
By October next year, we will have built approximately 9 km of new pipelines in the village of Uusküla, Jõelähtme rural municipality, and will provide close to 140 immovable properties with the possibility to connect to the public water supply and sewerage. The work is being performed on behalf of OÜ Loo Vesi.
To provide the benefits of cleaner drinking water and public water supply, Merko has installed more than 1,500 km of pipelines over the years. This is about a third of the public water supply built in Estonia with the support of the Environmental Investment Centre.
