Did you know that
Merko is the most attractive employer in the eyes of technology students. We have been recognised as the best construction and real estate company by many others.
A number of job portals have recognized Merko as the best employer among construction and real estate companies.
Triathlon, badminton, tennis, golf or company sport tournaments – at Merko, you’ll find a partner for just about every sport.
A number of honourees work for Merko – specialists who hold titles like builder of the year, civil engineer of the year, rising star in digital construction, and Estonia’s best young civil engineer. Merko’s interns and Merko-built and Merko-developed projects have also won acclaim.
We encourage a passion for construction from early on. We start with the children of our employees and continue with trainees, many of whom will continue to work for us as future achievers.
Merko has won the title of Estonia’s most competitive construction company on 18 occasions. On two occasions, it was ranked the most competitive large company.
It all starts with a healthy and happy employee. We support recreational sports, our work organisation is flexible and we care about mental health.
We help strengthen Estonia’s national defence capability – through our day-to-day work of construction and supporting our employees’ participation in reservist exercises.
In 2024, we received a Tallinn University of Technology (TalTech) supporter label for contributing to development of Estonian society.
Working for the future
Our work has developed the urban space, given opportunities for exercise and made life in Estonia more comfortable. With each project, we build tomorrow and lay the foundation for the future.
We help to make engineering and construction education more practical, give lectures and supervise graduation theses, organise group visits to projects and offer internships so that today’s builders will be succeeded by a remarkable young generation.
Working for health
Every day you live and work healthy is important. We increase employee awareness of occupational health, ensure a safe working environment and contribute to maintaining good health.
To promote healthy lifestyles, we encourage our employees to play sports, reimburse sports and health expenses and, in cooperation with Swedbank and Eesti Energia, develop health trails across Estonia so that others can exercise comfortably and healthily.
Working for joy
We are proud of every job well done. We celebrate being a team that does great things – on our construction sites, in each department and in the company as a whole.
We remember employees at work-related, personal and family events. We welcome employees and their companions to the Builders’ Day and New Year’s Eve party. We familiarise children with their parents’ work on Children’s Day and at the Christmas party. We have fun in all that we do!
