Renovation of Järvakandi substation starts

Merko Infra and Elering concluded an agreement today for the renovation of the Järvakandi 110 kilovolt substation.

Under the contract, a new switchyard with two sections and 110 kilovolt voltage will be built on the Järvakandi substation territory, along with control, auxiliary and control system, two existing overhead lines and two power transformers will be connected to the switchyard.

A new control building will also be completed as a part of the project, roads will be built to service the electrical installation and a new system will be built to collect and drain rain water. The renovation will take place by turnkey method and the renovated substation will be delivered to the customer in finished form in June 2022.
