Reconstruction of Aia Street to begin in Kuressaare

On 22 October, we entered into an agreement with Saaremaa Rural Municipality Government and AS Kuressaare Veevärk for the renovation of Aia Street in Kuressaare.

Under the agreement, the existing Aia Street will be extended to Lootsi Street. A sidewalk, street lighting, stormwater drainage and a bridge over the Tori River will be built on the new 800-metre section of the street. In addition, a bridge over the Põduste River will be reconstructed on Lootsi Street and a new pedestrian bridge will be built.

We recently reconstructed the central square in Kuressaare and are currently finishing the installation of new submarine cables in the Suur Strait and Väike Strait to ensure a better electricity supply for the residents of Saaremaa. The deadline for the reconstruction of Kuressaare Aia Street is October 2021.
