Merko starts construction of new apartment buildings in the center of Tartu
Under the name of Tähepargi Homes a total of seven new apartment buildings will be erected between the Tähe, Pargi and Päeva streets of downtown Tartu. The sale of apartments in the first houses of the new quarter at Pargi 19 and Öö 3 began today.
Construction of Tähepargi Homes will begin in March 2018. First, four apartment buildings will be built, and the first residents will be able to move into their new homes in spring 2019. The completion of the remaining three apartment buildings is scheduled for the year 2020.
Tähepargi Homes are within a 10-minute walk from downtown Tartu, with shopping, sports and entertainment centers, schools and kindergartens located nearby. “Easy access to everything a person needs for life and the amenities to enjoy in their homes or backyards,” said Juhan Varik, Head of the South Estonian Department of Merko Ehitus Eesti about the new residential quarter designed as a green city oasis.
Two-to-three-story private apartment buildings with a single architecture created by architect Anu Tammemägi will be erected in the new quarter. Each residential house will have 6-7 apartments, and the three-story houses will also be provided with an elevator. The energy class of the buildings is B. The parking of the entire quarter has been moved underground, thus leaving more greenery and spaciousness around the buildings.
The design of Tähepargi Homes takes into account the modern Nordic lifestyle. The apartments with well-planned layout are spacious and bright, the greenery of the city park surrounding the houses can be enjoyed through large windows, as well as through glazed balconies and spacious terraces.
The interior design packages of the apartments that combine the modernity of the city center and the historic feel of Karlova wooden villas have been developed in cooperation with the interior designers Eerik Olle and Ahti Peetersoo. The selection includes three living room and bathroom packages, plus a more exclusive Premium package.
The size of two to four-room apartments range from 39 to 109 square meters and the cost ranges from EUR 2,570 to EUR 3,180 per square meter.
