Merko picked as construction sector’s most desirable employer

The CV-Online job site CV.ee announced the results of its annual Top Employer survey: Merko is the most highly regarded employer in the construction sector.

Top Tööandja (Top Employer) is Estonia’s biggest and most popular employer survey where respondents can vote for the company they would most like to work for. Merko came first in the category of Estonian construction and real estate sector companies. We have had success in the survey before – in 2024, we were the only construction and real estate development employer in the top 10 service enterprises, and in 2021, the only one among production sector companies.

In comments on this year’s recognition, Merko’s Human Resources Manager Ene Tüvi said the title of best employer in the sector was an extremely important honour for Merko. “We make a great effort to make our employees feel cared for and valued, we offer an employment experience focused on growth and well-being for our current employers and future co-workers. We’re very proud that our contribution as an employer is noticed.”

CV.ee’s head of communications Karl Oder said: “Economic uncertainty has not diminished people’s expectations of employers. Job-seekers make their choices more consciously than they used to, and employer reputation has a direct impact on candidates’ activity and employees’ loyalty. Companies that are able to offer clear values, a supportive workplace environment and transparent management build a strong competitive advantage for themselves. The Top Employer survey reflects which companies are able to stand out and differentiate themselves in this field.”

Close to 10,000 respondents weighed in for the survey conducted in early 2025. The Top Employers were determined in nine categories – the year’s top-of-mind employer and the most valued employers in eight different business sectors.
