Merko launches construction of the second phase of the Tähepargi development project in Tartu city center
Under the name of Tähepargi Homes a total of seven new apartment buildings will be erected between the Tähe, Pargi and Päeva streets of downtown Tartu, the construction of the last three of which will begin this week. Today the sale of apartments at Päeva 5, Pargi 13 and Pargi 15 houses has begun, the completion of which is scheduled for autumn 2019.
Tähepargi Homes are located in the center of Tartu, a short walk from downtown Tartu. These are homes where everything you need, shopping, sports and entertainment centers, schools and kindergartens – is located conveniently close by. Along with the completion of the apartment buildings, a green courtyard and a gazebo will be built in Tähepargi quarter. “Tähepargi area is going to be like an urban oasis, surrounded by greenery, where the proximity of city amenities ensures modern and urban lifestyle, while the peaceful atmosphere surrounding the home makes you forget that you are in downtown Tartu,” says Juhan Varik, Head of the South-Estonian Department of Merko Ehitus Eesti.
The large park trees shall be preserved on the plot and more trees and decorative shrubs will be planted. Around 2100 m2 of park area will be built along Tähe Street, with playgrounds, walkways, seating areas, stairways and flower beds. In the future, caring for the park area will be the responsibility of the city of Tartu.
In the second phase of Tähepargi Homes, a two-story and two three-story private apartment buildings designed by architect Anu Tammemägi will be completed. The houses will have 6-7 apartments, and the three-story houses will also be provided with an elevator. The top floor apartments on the building with energy class B and gable roof have high sloping ceilings, which give the dwellings a spacious feel and a unique character.
The design of Tähepargi Homes takes into account the modern Nordic lifestyle. The apartments with well-planned layout are spacious and bright, the greenery of the city park surrounding the houses can be enjoyed through large windows, as well as through glazed balconies and spacious terraces. The parking of the entire quarter has been moved underground, thus leaving more greenery and spaciousness around the buildings.
The interior design packages of the apartments that combine the modernity of the city center and the historic feel of Karlova wooden villas have been developed in cooperation with the interior designers Eerik Olle and Ahti Peetersoo. The selection includes three living room and bathroom packages, plus a more exclusive Premium package.
The size of two to four-room apartments range from 39 to 107 square meters and the cost ranges from EUR 2,750 to EUR 3,300 per square meter.
The construction of the first four apartment buildings of the Tähepargi quarter began in early spring and as of now, the selling of which has now reached its full volume. Residents will be able to move into these homes, which will be completed during the first phase of construction, in early summer 2019.
