Merko is the most reputable real estate developer

Kantar Emor’s annual survey of real estate brands revealed that Merko continues to be the most reputable real estate developer in Estonia. Merko was also recognised as the best-known and most reputable real estate developer in Estonia in the 2019 survey.

According to the results of a survey conducted by Kantar Emor in September, the developer’s reliability, professionalism and top quality are paramount in creating a favourable impression of the real estate brand. These aspects were also the most important factors that shaped opinions last year. Mari-Ann Ploom, research specialist at Kantar Emor, noted that Merko, as a reputation leader, is most characterised by its high reliability.

According to Mari-Ann Ploom, only companies that consciously and systematically create positive customer experiences can reach the top of the reputable developers’ list. “By mapping the post-purchase experience of people who have bought a home in new developments, it can be seen that they are clearly more satisfied with aspects that could be thought through more comprehensively before the purchase – such as apartment planning, proximity to shops and living environment,” explained Ploom.

​The Kantar Emor study involved 604 people. Of these, 336 were planning to buy an apartment in a new development in Tallinn or its vicinity, and 230 had purchased an apartment in the capital or Harju County in recent years. In addition to the renown and reputability of real estate developers, Kantar Emor determined the main needs of new home seekers and the experiences of people who have recently bought a home.
