Merko constructs the international head office of Tallink and Infortar
On Friday, 4 April, the cornerstone was placed for the new international head office of Tallink and Infortar to be built by Merko Ehitus. The area of the office building to be completed in Spring 2009 on Sadama street is approximately 6000 square meters.
The office building designed by Meelis Press Architects has an eye-catching modern architectural and interior design solution, the objective of which is to create a comfortable and cosy work environment for the employees of the companies.
According to Tarmo Pohlak, the project director of Merko Ehitus, the construction of the building with such complicated solutions is quite a considerable challenge requiring full devotion and application of all skills. “The hand of the architect Meelis Press is clearly recognizable also in case of this building – glass, white concrete, natural stone, complicated lighting solutions. The building will be surely worth of the given pretentious location,” Tarmo Pohlak added.
