Merko announced scholarships for 2019

During a festive ceremony at Tallinn University of Technology, Merko awarded scholarships to contribute to the success of the new generation in the construction industry and help the teaching staff provide better education in the field.

Ergo Pikas, research fellow at TalTech’s School of Engineering, received Merko’s Young Scientist and Teacher Scholarship. Pikas is a young scientist who has recently completed his doctorate and has been actively involved in research work and various research projects both in Estonia and abroad. He has taught students and experienced engineers, organised training courses and conferences, and contributed to the development of the Estonian construction industry in general.

This year, our Engineering Study Scholarship was granted to Jane Kikojan, a fifth-year student of Building Design and Construction Management, who excels as a highly focussed, consistent, adept, and resourceful person. During her apprenticeship at Merko, she demonstrated her conscientiousness and willingness to take on challenges which will surely lead her to become a top expert in her field.

Merko has been supporting TalTech students, young researchers and lecturers with scholarships since 2007.
