New company Merko Kodud to handle apartment sales in Estonia

On 1 January 2024, Merko Ehitus Eesti will split its operating activities between two separate companies within group. Real estate development and apartment sales will be handled by OÜ Merko Kodud while construction service will be offered by AS Merko Ehitus Eesti.

A similar structure, aligned according to the nature of the line of business, is already in use in all of Merko group’s home markets – separate companies handle real estate and construction and work closely together on all of Merko’s residential development projects.

The staff members who have been working in the real estate development and sales business area will migrate to Merko Kodud. Indrek Tarto will take the helm as CEO of the new company. Everyday work for staff and all employee contacts will remain the same. Nor will anything significant change for apartment buyers and partners in Merko developments – they will continue to be served by Estonia’s most prestigious and best-known real estate developer, Merko.

Merko Ehitus Eesti will continue its current operations as one of Estonia’s largest construction companies. We offer our customers construction in the field of general construction, our skilled workforce performs concrete work and we carry out infrastructure projects. As of 1 January 2024, Jaan Mäe will become Chairman of the Management Board of Merko Ehitus Eesti and Veljo Viitmann will continue as Member of the Management Board.
