Merko continues as supporter of Tallinn University of Technology

For many years, Merko has supported engineering to advance the field and ensure a supply of professionals who can work for Merko and also benefit the entire Estonian construction sector in future.

In acknowledgement of our contribution, Tallinn University of Technology (TalTech) bestowed a letter of gratitude to us and we will continue to proudly wear the Tallinn Tech supporter’s badge.

We use our experience to enrich curricula, support students in the learning process and the organization of student events that enlighten and popularize engineering. Since 2007, we have, in cooperation with the TalTech Development Fund, awarded scholarships to engineering students in civil engineering speciality and young researchers and teaching staff who contribute to development of university education.

We help to make civil engineering education in schools more practical through Merko employees visiting to give lectures at schools, supervising final papers, holding group tours of construction sites and offering internships.

This summer, six interns will be posted at Merko. The next opportunity to vie for a Merko scholarship will be at the autumn competition held by the TalTech Development Fund.
