In connection with the entry into force of the new General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 on 25 May 2018, we would like to inform you in more detail about how we use – and protect – your data.
The processor and user responsible for your personal data is AS Merko Ehitus Eesti, registry code 12203636.
What personal data do we process, and for what purpose?
As part of your customer relationship with us, you provide us with such details as your name, your e-mail address and your telephone number(s), and in the event of your purchasing a property the address thereof.
We use such data for preparing and entering into contracts and for marketing purposes only, including:
– to contact you in regard to apartments that may be of interest to you;
– to maintain a list of contacts;
– to seek feedback on our services; and
– to send you updates and information.
What is the legal basis of the processing of your personal data?
The legal basis of the processing of your data is our justified interest in fulfilling any contracts that have been or will be entered into with you, maintaining contact with you, our desire to seek feedback on the quality of our service and our wish to provide you with information and updates on new development projects and campaigns.
How long do we store your personal data?
We store your data until you inform us that you would like us to delete them. In such a case we stop sending you information.
What security measures do we take to protect your personal data?
In order to protect your data we adopt both technical and organisational security measures that help secure your data and prevent them from being accessed by unauthorised individuals.
Who do we pass your personal data on to?
We do not sell, distribute or forward your personal data to third parties or enable the use of your personal data by third parties in any way.
As the authorised processor, our IT service provider has access to your data in relevant situations and to the relevant extent, as do any companies conducting feedback surveys on our behalf, notaries’ offices when preparing purchases of apartments and the bank which issued you with your home loan. Should you wish to allow them access to your data, companies offering furniture and fitting services shall also be provided with such access (e.g. in order to obtain a discount on kitchen furniture).
You have the right to approach us at any time to obtain information about the processing of your data. In accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation, you have (among others) the following rights:
– to know what personal data of yours we process and request a copy;
– to request that incorrect data be corrected or that personal data be deleted; and
– to lodge complaints regarding the processing of your personal data and to demand that their processing be restricted.
