Merko electrical work mainly involves engineering, configuration and construction of medium- and high-voltage substations and power lines. Merko has an electrical work project management team with years of experience and a wealth of specialized competence. Merko has a history of good cooperation with local and international clients.
The works are carried out by AS Merko Infra, part of AS Merko Ehitus Eesti group. AS Merko Infra was founded in 2009. Since 2011, the structure of Merko Infra has included an electrical works department engaged in designing, setting up and building medium- and high-voltage substations and electrical lines.
The largest electrical construction sites completed: renovation of the 35 kV and 10 kV switchgear at Rakke 35/10 kV substation, renovation of the 35kV and 10kV switchgear for the Käina 35/10kV substation and installation of ground current compensation equipment, emergency backup power plant at Kiisa and construction of electrical systems powering the oil shale and biofuel feeder systems on the territory of Eesti Power Plant, including necessary equipment. The installation of a 450kV land cable for the Estonian-Finnish Estlink 2 cable, the high and medium-voltage work at the Iru power plant’s WTE unit, the reconstruction of the Keila 110kV substation, construction of the Kiisa substation 10kV, 110kV, 330kV connection points and the Aruküla 330/110/20kV substation, replacement of the Ülemiste junction’s 110kV overhead line with a ground cable, and electrical work for Enefit-280 and Ämari Air Base.
